The holidays are infamous for many things and one of them, of course,
is drinking. Whether you're flushing a cup of wine or savoring a cup of
eggnog, we are here to help you make your favorite holiday drinks even
better!
Here at Kitchens on the Square, we’re getting excited about Halloween
and the holiday is fast-approaching. There’s a thrill of suspense and a
bit of a chill down our spines as the weather cools in anticipation of
October 31st. Savannah’s infamous ghost tours stir up old legends at
night and remind us of the fear
Some of the best Savannah Cooks are the ones walking the cobble stone
streets of Savannah on a daily basis. They’re the ones picking up
groceries down the street and cooking in a cramped kitchen for their
family members.
This week we hosted a fun contest on our Facebook Page. We asked fans
to submit their favorite food-related memories. The comment with the
most “Likes” received a free cooking class for them and a friend.
The kitchen is a special place, especially in Savannah. Clean or
cluttered, small or spacious, it’s the heartbeat of a home and the
favorite place for family and friends to gather.
Southern Living Magazine and Jennifer Vashti Cole recently took a road
trip through the Georgia Coast, making pit stops at the best Savannah
and St. Simon’s has to offer. Cole is the author of the Tales from the
Road blog, an expose of travels and hot spots in the Southern states.
If you have ever had the chance to read a Southern Living Magazine you
have probably gotten the chance to wish you were traveling with
contributor Jennifer Vashti Cole. Jennifer writes the Tales from the
Road blog, as well as articles for the magazine.
Here at Kitchens on the Square, we have an obvious love for food, a
probably not as obvious love for blogs, and a wish for travel. We love
it here in Savannah, and we sometimes get to live vicariously through
the customers that visit our store from all across the world.

I was lucky to catch the last bit of CBS Sunday Morning this week (one
of my favorite shows) and saw a report on one of our products. The
Bakers Edge Brownie Pan was designed by Matthew Griffin and has taken
off like a rocket.
For those of you who don't already know, Miley Cyrus has been filming a movie on Tybee Island, GA (used to be called Savannah Beach, cause it's just so close to Savannah).
Those nearest and dearest to Kitchens on the Square will know that on Friday May 15th we were happy to host a cooking class with the fine gentlemen of Savannah Fire and Emergency Services to benefit the Georgia Second Harvest Kids Cafe.
I just couldn't keep this ad to myself any longer. It's a sneek peek from our May Savannah Skirt advertisement for the Mom's Night Out Class. Ladies, if the thought of having hunky firemen cooking for you didn't get your attention this ad is sure to do it!
The new Savannah Cooks! spring class schedule is now listed online! There is one class that we at Kitchens on the Square are particularly proud of, the Mom's Night Out class.
For those who don't already know, St. Patrick's Day is huge in Savannah! Over 400,000 visitors flood the streets of Savannah to eat, drink (sometimes too much) and be merry!
