Here at Kitchens on the Square, we have an obvious love for food, a probably not as obvious love for blogs, and a wish for travel. We love it here in Savannah, and we sometimes get to live vicariously through the customers that visit our store from all across the world.
This past week, we had the fortunate chance to get to know an attendee at one of Kelsey’s “Lunch & Learn” classes. Serena came to humble Savannah from Sydney, Australia on her culinary trip around the world. As she visits countires, cities, restaurants, and in our case a class; she has been trying to get a chance to enjoy the diverse and scrumptious foods that are served there. In between locations and meals she has been uploading photos, and posting reviews of her stops. Fortunate for us readers, she has a gift for writing that will make you wish you were sharing the meal by her side, and a discerning enough palette to make your mouth water from her descriptions.

Only the cornbread was out long enough for a photo. Everything else disappeared by the time I came back with a camera.
Our Nicole and Kelsey adored Serena and were more than happy for the chance to cook, talk, and always importantly enjoy their food with quality company. Serena has already been breezing through cities and foods since leaving our shop, but we will be keeping up to date with her blog in the meantime. There was talk of forming a small band of travelers who would go from city to city and enjoy the local dishes, only to post online while traveling to their next destination. The Travelling Food Club hasn’t fired up quite yet, but once we find some sponsors for our endeavor, we’ll be meeting Serena up for a delicious meal at some foreign exotic location.
